Community Events
All committee positions are declared vacant. Committee members are elected at the AGM, and the new committee elects its office bearers (President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer) straight after. Nominations from the floor are welcome on the day. Only ordinary members with fees paid ($50 per household) can vote or stand, so please renew before the day. Proxies (up to five per person) must be notified to the Secretary in writing before the meeting.
Celebrate the end of the year with your neighbours at a relaxed bring-and-share sunset gathering on the foreshore reserve, in the style of our popular sundowners. Let us know if you're coming, and if you can lend a hand, through the survey in our October newsletter.
Past Events
Official meeting starts at 5:00pm, followed by drinks and nibbles (BYO). Our new Sunday Sundowner format allows us to get through community business and then enjoy a relaxed social afterwards — come along and get to know your neighbours.
Phil Doncon from Paint Storm will create a mural at the John Batten Hall — tentatively Sunday 3rd May, the day after the Tree Festival in town. Also planned (pending approval and funding): a registration day for locals interested in verge and letterbox trees through the Geraldton Tree Canopy project.
